Daydreaming
Johnny Depp and me sailed the seven seas, surviving hurricanes in the Caribbean and nor’easters in the north Atlantic. It was the Outer Banks of North Carolina where we spent the best times. Slipping through the Currituck Inlet we anchored in a deep lagoon, sheltered by the tall sand dune named Penny’s Hill.
We rowed ashore in a small dinghy and slept in each other’s arms on the warm sand. The music of the waves pounding the beach and gulls laughing overheard lulled us to sleep after a night of passion fired with rum. Ah, it was so sweet.
We were wakened rudely by the incoming tide as a wave splashed over our feet. The sun was rising sending dapples of gold across the waters. Tiny sand fiddlers scurried over the sand, attracting the gulls that scooped them up for a tasty breakfast.
Breakfast? Not even Johnny could satisfy my hunger pains. “Come on, wake up,” I said, “lets go to the Sandy Dollar for breakfast. I hear they make a wonderful crabmeat omelet.”
Johnny stretched and groaned, then rolled over and went back to sleep. His breath smelled of sour rum.
“Arragh,” I said. I stood up and brushed off the sand, “I’ll see you later.”
I hopped into my 1995 Ford Taurus Station wagon and drove down highway 12, past the Whalehead Country Club, the Tinker’s Damn Shopping Center and on past the Kitty Hawk Visitor’s Center. I pulled into the parking lot of the Sandy Dollar. There was the usual crowd: tourists, fishermen, and a few locals who sat at the counter and flirted with Daphne as she took orders and refilled their coffee cups.
I sat in a booth with an ocean view. A middle-aged waitress filled my cup and took my order for the crabmeat omelet with grits on the side. I was tired; tired of being in a different port every week, tired of the rum, and tired of Johnny. It was time to go home to Barnie. I hoped he would take me back after all these years. It was possible he’d found another by now, but somehow I doubted it. Barnie was as faithful a Jack Russell Terrier who ever chased a rat, and I was sure he’d welcome me back with a great big doggy kiss. Who could ask for more?

A flash fiction Drabble
Drabble is a story of 100 word - or less. Here's mine.
“… an’ this what ya do. The old man took the billy can off the fire
and placed it on the side. “Then ya wait a while an’ put it on the
fire again, bring it ter the bile an’ toss in an ‘andful of tea an’ a
bit o’ sugar, see? Let it brew till ya can’t see the bottom of the
can, pour it inter ya mugs. Stir it an’ enjoy.”
The old man smiled and went behind the nearby curtain, where he took
off his makeup.
Bewdy, another shopping centre demo done – he said to himself.

drabble is fun too!
I will try one later today. Hobbie Holly is a pretty old broad so I think you're OK. Desperate, but OK.
