    72 Film Fest

Looks like I mat be getting involved with a film fest. I'm not sure what I'm getting myself into but I am getting together with a couple friends to try and make a film in 72 hours. I won't know any details until the 29th of September. Then before October 2, that is when the completed film is due, the team needs to write direct and record the movie. Should be a really fun experiment.

72hrs huh? That length of time can easily be taken up just in the editing so I take it this will be a short film?

Do you have a theme yet or better, a storyboard?
Remember, a storyboard should contain all camera angles, lenses and use of zoom/panning, lighting etc. This saves time and confusion during filming and editing.

If you would like me to compose bespoke music I will need to know the length and style required, any changes of tempo (with precise time of change) although if ambient is required then simple fades should suffice.
Normally I would load the film into my software and compose to the images but the wordclock but i suspect time limits will prohibit this level of accuracy.
Failing that I might have something 'in stock' you can use. (taking music off a cd puts you at risk of violating copyright, using bespoke music prevents that.) Very Happy

Anyway, I'll help in wherever I can.

At this point I have no clue if the goup is even going to get together. The guy that initated the idea seems to have fallen off the earth. As to what the movie would have been about, we wou;dn't have gotten the theme of what we were to shoot until the 29th of September, then we would have until the 2nd of Ocotber to write, film, edit and score it before it had to be turned in. I am guessing it would have been a short movie.

This doesn't mean that the idea of a movie is done, just might not be doing this particular extreme festival. Very Happy
