You might think you’re a hot marine
But I just think you are a stooge.
Pack your satchel and seek your fortune
In the vacuum of another’s roost.
Don’t kneel by my cradle
Don’t monitor my family tree.
Cause you’re nothing but hot air to me,
Blowing out the air compressor of life,
Nothing viable lives in you,
I wouldn’t trade the space you take
On the black tiles of the bathroom floor.
So dance the Aerial right outta my sight,
I can hide my sorrow in the medicine cabinet.
And I’ll nail a never-wanted poster
With your smug picture
On every streetlight post in town.

Used to be a big Marine
Not a circus Stooge.
Who’d want to be a sawdust clown
Decked out in frills and rouge.

My Fortune I would never make
Whilst I’m still in the Corps
The Family wanted more from me
How can I give them more.

From Cradle to my high school days
From boot camp to my Trade
as an Aerial Monitor
E7 rate I was paid.

On pay nights there was hell to pay
We’d go out on the Tiles
Drinking the goldarned night away
Sometimes we’d travel miles.

When I copped Mess duty
The liquor Cabinet I’d guard
A task for me, most Viable
It really wasn’t hard.

Then one day, I lost, yes lost
The CO’s personal Satchel
Full of confidential stuff
I sure was o’er a barrel.

It had designs and lots of plans
For a state of the art Compressor
As well as lots of secret stuff
From a glamor spy, Vanessa.

I was proud to be a Poster boy
Once of the mighty corp
But now I’m selling Vacuum cleaners
Going from door-to-door.

and rhymed no less!

5 words doesn't sound much like a challenge to me.

that depends on the five words. An exercise I've done before is to take a dictionary, close your eyes, open and put your finger on the page. Do that five times, use those five words for your prompt.
