Having some fun while house bound
I am trying out an aging technique with some of my photos. I posted samples on my Facebook page.
Years ago I bought some packs of t-shirt transfer paper at the dollar store. I thought I might use them during horse camps for craft projects. Never did. Then I can across a blog, http://nonphotography.com/blog/
Reading her how-to with the coffee stains I thought, "Mmm." I don't have Photoshop so can't do the layering thing. So, I stained watercolor paper with coffee. Scanned the photo and printed onto the t-shirt transfer paper, ironed it onto the stained paper, then scanned the stained print. Next I used my Print Shop Photo Pro to "antique" it.
In our county is held the National Whistlers Convention (April 8-9), people from all over the world come to that thing. Our arts council has arranged an art show in the lobby of the building where it takes place. They want us to show pieces that represent the county, so this is my goal for my aged photos.
I am having fun until I have transportation again. Going car looking today with my grand daughter:o)

Re: Having some fun while house bound
Sounds like fun. Something I've always been curious to try is making my own paper and binding my own book like they used to do in the midievl times. I just don't have the time.
