Oh, this software is new to me and i'm stumbling around trying to figure out how it all works so if it's a mess please be patient.

Hello everyone, I missed ya!

Glad you joined up with us

I knew you'd find us Now we can all winter down together and write our fingers to the bone. The leaves are starting to turn down here in the south and the geese are flying over the farm, honking to let me know its fall.

Yup - thanks to you leaving crumbs so I could find my way. Actually, I haven't seen - or heard - many Canada geese this year for whatever reason. Given the warmer weather that we experienced last winter, perhaps have decided to take their chances and wait to see if conditions will be the same. This summer, though, they were plentiful, hanging out at the river's edge and in the grassy areas.

BTW, donnalee - I'm about to embark upon organizing an art show at a local community centre. They recently created a gorgeous green space, which is begging for artists to show their wares. Will keep everyone informed.

Ellie, that sounds exciting. I am going to answer an "artist call" in hopes of getting an exhibition in a local gallery. Have to submit six samples of my photos, a bio and an 'artist statement." had no idea how to write one of those, but with some research I think I have it figured out. Deciding on which six photos to submit is another challenge. That evil inner voice keeps saying, "that's not good enough."

Never thought about "artist's statement" but I too will look it up for future reference. The art show will be personally interesting since I will be the one deciding or at least helping to decide the selection of the paintings. We have a meeting next week to work on the parameters i.e. how many paintings per person, layout of space, etc. etc. The way I envision it, there will be a vernissage to open show the night before the actual show where artists/public/media can mingle. Also toying with idea of a children's art exhibition at the same time since it guarantees attendance

Managing a forum can be exciting and frustrating at the same time. I am not familiar with this software... gonna take some getting used to being a regular joe in a forum. lol
