Okay People... where are you?

Maybe this will get your attention! How would you like to have your writing in a magazine? Yup, I'm finnally looking into it to see what it will take.

So, are any of you talented writers interested in submitting to a magazine?

I lost the link when a virus ate everything in my computer. Just found my way back via FB.

So, what sort of magazine will it be? What sort of writing are you looking for?

Right now, I'm simply exploring the idea. I actually have many ideas for magazines, just don't have all the ideas worked out yet. I think I'm going to try putting a magazine of my images together first and do a trial run of that before I plunge into anything else.

I suppose I could do a magazine of photo challenges. The magazine could be published quarterly which would give people ample time to write and submit their stories.

See? many ideas bounce around my head... one of these days I'll get one out of there. lol

I can tell you that it will be a ton of work, having worked on a print magazine with my daughter years ago. But now you can do the online mags which are cool. This is the annual mag our arts council does. BTW, my photo on the cover;o)

Yup, I know it will be a ton of work. Looks like I'll be putting it off for a bit anyways. I have been thinking about doing a mag with my images and just leave copies of the magazine around different locations. Would be cool to also set a website up where people can go to an log where they found a magazine.

Don't mind me, just thinking again.

Edit: BTW that is a pretty cool magazine. I think I'll try and see if the arts organization I belong to is willing to start something up like that.

I bet if you volunteer to help they will jump right on it:o)

To get back to the magazine idea, I will be purchasing Adobe InDesign to help me with layout and other options in regards to a magazine. I'm going to be doing some heavy experimentation with my own photography first to see if this is something I really want to pursue. The other cool thing about InDesign is it will help with boo design too so I'll be able to finally get to work on my phot book!

I think that is the software our arts council uses for our magazine.

It's pretty cool software. Granted I'm also getting it to do my portfolio/coffee table book layouts as well. Wife isn't going to be happy but I need to get my work out there and this is a creative way for me to do that. Plus I want to create a catalogue of all my backgrounds so that I can show potential clients what I have in a quick easy way.
